It taught us how to look.

To wander.
Search was never simply retrieval.
It was movement.
A ritual of digital wandering that mirrored something older.
The scholar moving through shelves.
The researcher unfolding maps.
The reader getting lost in the footnotes.
Knowledge arrived through paths.
Not answers.
This mattered.
Because the path shaped the thought.
Today, that path is collapsing.
Instead of looking, we ask.
And instead of wandering, we arrive.
